A God-given Purpose
for Everyone We are experiencing this in our prayer meetings.
Jesus taught His disciples: "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. (16) You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you" (Jn. 15:15-16). This truth embodies God's ultimate purpose for His people in the earth: that each one, united together as one body in Christ, would know and experience the fullness of His intent as stated in His calling His house "a house of prayer for all nations" (Mt.21:13). |
Testimonies of Answered
Prayer According to what Jesus taught in John 15:15-16, the Father desires three things for His people in the earth:
- For them to be His friends--to disclose to and not hide from them His plans, purposes, and pursuits. - That they would produce much fruit that remains. - As the result, that they would experience the joy of the Father giving them whatever they ask for. Experience the joy with us. |
Teachings
The Apostle Paul warned: "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. (3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; (4) and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables" (2 Tim. 4:2-4). Sound doctrine equals a sound mind, whereas, the carnal (unsound) mind of people is dominated by ordinary impulses and thinking that is hostile to God's thoughts, ways, and acts (Rom. 8:7-8).
